JACK RILEY

'Shadow Man' - Throughout the continuity of the trailer, the face of the killer is never revealed, at least not fully. Parts are shown, such as his mouth, but no full shot of his face will be shown to the audience, enhancing the tension that is portrayed throughout the trailer..He is the antagonist of the film, the villain. He needs to be confident in the role and portray no signs of weakness, and this will need to be consistent throughout. The acting should suggest power and dominance, and the stance that he will have will portray this from the role. The audience should feel nervous when watching him and the way in which he acts should intensify the scenes that he is going to be in. Jack will be the superior character and so therefore he will make the other characters look weak and inferior, or at least this is the idea.
Jack Riley has unfinished business with the Deveraux family, and wants revenge, but does murder seem too far?

TOMMY DEVERAUX
![Picture](/uploads/2/3/8/4/23842026/1421241192.png)
Tommy Deveraux, brother of Felicity and Charlie , is a naive boy throughout. Their parents were killed in a car accident 2 years ago and they are living alone with no one to support them. He and his sister are the target of Jack Riley. He will be a weak character, who is easily scared. Throughout the continuity of the trailer, the acting that is done, will show the apprehension that Tommy is feeling and it will suggest to the audience that he is afraid of confrontation with the killer. Because he is young, the character of Tommy would be expected to be inferior and this stereotype is supported by the role, because he is going to be scared, and not show any signs of power. Tommy will automatically want to try and save his sister, however both characters are going to be extremely fearful.
Felicity Deveraux
Felicity Deveraux, sister of Tommy Deveraux and Charlie Deveraux, is quite a shy character who just wants to look after her younger brother. Throughout the film, the character of Felicity changes as she begins to show that she isn't as scared as she used to be before. Her older brother, Charlie, helps her a lot through the loss of their parents and she looks up to him. Her character will use facial expressions which will connote to the audience the fearfulness that she feels throughout the film. When Felicity comes face to face with Jack Riley, she is terrified, and this will be noticeable, as the 3 siblings are going to be the inferior characters in the trailer, and hopefully the audience will be able to see this through the body language and facial expressions of each of the characters.
Charlie Deveraux
Charlie Deveraux, older brother of Felicity and Tommy Deveraux, is the most confident out of the three siblings. Although he is still scared, he doesn't not necessarily show it to the audience, and so therefore the audience will not immediately know the feelings and thoughts of Charlie. Charlie wants to look after his younger siblings, so therefore, he feels that by showing weakness, makes it seems as though he is not being strong for his siblings. Charlie helped his brother and sister come to terms with the death of their parents, and so they both look up to him.
