Conclusions and new knowledge.
Each trailer has different elements, however all of the trailers have music which sets the mood for the film. The Fault In Our Stars has 2 main songs in the trailer, one that shows happiness, and one that shows sadness, this could represent the theme of the movie. Similarly, 'The Spectacular Now' also has this aspect to it, allowing the audience to grasp the idea of the film, and to see what the film trailer is trying to show. The third trailer, 'Annabelle' is different however, as throughout the trailer the music is quite creepy, and even though the start of the trailer isn't showing the film to be particularly scary, the music suggests that it is gradually going to become scary. Songs aren't really used in this trailer, it is more just sound effects, but these do bring a good atmosphere to the trailer, and they still make it a good clip to watch and stay intrigued by. Each of the trailers i have analysed use lighting well to portray the mood of the film, and this a very important feature to have in a movie trailer as it shows the audience how the film will be set out. For example, in the 'Annabelle' trailer, the atmosphere is quite bright, which doesn't suggest to the audience that the film will be a horror, yet as it continues, the lighting becomes darker and darker, which is symbolizing a scary fearful atmosphere. All of the trailers include text, which breaks up the scenes, this is an important feature of a trailer, and it is something that I will be using in my trailer. Also, in each of the trailers, the main characters are apparent very soon, so therefore this is something that I will also need to consider when making my film trailer.
After analysing these different movie trailers, I have decided to make a trailer for a horror film.

Features I would like to include in my horror movie trailer.
A mixture of lighting, e.g both light and dark scenes so that the audience is not bored of just one simple composition for the entirety of the film.
A good range of music, which clearly displays the mood of the film and intrigues the audience, and keeps them on the edge of their seat.
Sound Effects - These are important to make the horror film seem more scary and intriguing. If there are no sound effects then the audience will not be interested in watching the film - the audience have to remain interested!
Text in between scenes - This is important as it means that the focus won't constantly be on the shots of the film, and there will be something for the audience to look at and take in, other than the actual content on the trailer. Text is also a good way to keep the audience intrigued.
